Signed contract!

I signed contract yesterday! Now I am officially an animator and technical artist.

It's hard to say professional animator without saying or thinking professional amateur. The words are so much alike, esp. in swedish. I'd say I am a mix of both since I yet have so much to learn. But you do count as a professional as soon as you make money, right? It's a tough definition...

I'd say I am a professional amateur animator.

Character set mistake on my current game project. The head reminds me of Golimar! Cracked me up!



It's friday, I'm tired. Don't blame me for finding this funny!

Rigging is going amazingly well, otherwise. Getting a bit proud of myself that I am actually learning! :D

Other news: still got problems with my new computer. I will reinstall windows yet again this weekend. If that doesn't work, I will get new hardware for certain stuff. If that won't help: new motherboard... By then, I pretty much replaced everything in the computer. XD Argh! We really should crave money back... ?

The final voice for the 10-sec animation of 3D Denilou became... the Swedish voice of Aladdin. *laughs* I was thinking of using Iago, but I skipped that... *laughs* Unfortunately I have no other sound-file in such quality as the Swedish Aladdin voices. (I have a CD with the whole movie from when I was young...) I do have Lucky Luke in Swedish too, but that voice is like a talking brick. I still need a better voice for the model, but I haven't got time to find one for the assignment - however I think I might try to animate him more after the final assignment, so if the few of you who wanted to give it a shot (the voice) still feel like it, go on. :)

It's hard to work with this voice, because it doesn't suit him. xD But it will make the final piece funnier. Abou is, for now, a sphere...
I hope to show you previews of my animation tests soon. This far I have only experimented, now I am heading for the final assignment. I am not really proud of the final rig of the character, nor the blend-shapes - - because, well, this is my first model and I had no ideas or clues on how to make him more functional in animation. xD
